This project is at the Marjan offshore field in Saudi Arabia. The project is about Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPIC) of tie-in platform, six gas lift topside modules, and associated pipeline and subsea cables. Client has awarded the EPCI contract to US energy contractor McDermott. The contract includes design, procurement, fabrication, and installation, testing and pre-commissioning of the TP-10 tie-in platform, six gas lift topside modules, and associated pipeline and subsea cables. The total weight of the structures will exceed 27,000 metric tonnes, with pipelines running for more 65 kilometres. The company will execute the fabrication work for the contract from its Jebel Ali yard in Dubai and Dammam yard in Saudi Arabia. The engineering work, on the other hand, will be performed from both Dubai and the Al Khobar office in Saudi Arabia. This extensive practical operational experience in the region which gives assurance to our customers of our ability to deliver projects safely, on time and to budget. The fabrication work on the project will be executed from its yards in Dubai and Dammam, Saudi Arabia, while the engineering work will be executed from Dubai and its Al-Khobar office in Saudi Arabia. The Derrick Barge 50 and Derrick Barge 27 from McDermottÂ’s fleet are scheduled to be utilised. Work on the project will begin immediately.
