This project will be developed in Subiya peninsula across the Bay of Kuwait. It will cover an area of 250 square kilometres. The project is about Development of Silk City (Madinat Hareer) comprising a large complex made up of various zones, including cultural, film, media, industrial, business, sports, leisure, environment and health cities, including a national wildlife convention centre, exhibition centres, parks and housing for (700,000) people. The task includes development of a blended use advancement which incorporates a hectare normal desert reservation, an obligation free region which will be next to another airplane terminal, an extensive business focus and regions that focus on the earth, sports, media, wellbeing, training and industry. The improvement incorporates Mubarak Tower which is the focal point of the undertaking. The first stage of construction, which has yet to begin, will also see a logistics area built within Silk City, as well as an industrial hub to support small- and medium-sized enterprises. Plans are being made to develop a procurement strategy for attracting investments to, implementing, and operating Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port under a public-private partnership model. At the centre of this city will be a 200-storey-plus, 1,001-metre-high tower, known as Mubarak Al-Kabir, which will be the world's tallest tower. It will be divided into four zones: The city of Commerce, the city of Leisure & Recreation, the city of Ecology and the City of Diplomacy & Education. Local Engineering Consultants has been appointed as lead consultant on this scheme. Kuwait is the environmental, fisheries and engineering consultant. Dubai has been appointed as strategic advisor. Kuwait is the financial advisor. Abu Dhabi is providing legal advisory services. UK is the main architect.
