The project is about Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to develop an oilfield, located in Abu Dhabi. The project involves the phase 2 development of Qusahwira oil field located approximately 260 kilometers south of Abu Dhabi and covers an area of 7,525 square kilometers. The project includes expansion of an onshore crude production field by 143,000 barrels a day. The scope of expansion programme will include: • Increasing oil barrel per day with the quantity of 25000. • Construction of infrastructure facilities of wells, • GOSP facilities, • Gas injection compressors, • New main oil line (MOL) booster pumps, • Water-disposal pumps, • New water-alternating-gas (WAG) wells, • Flow lines and associated facilities. Canadaian Co. has been awarded a contract to provide FEED study for the Qusahwira oil field. It is understood that work has already commenced at the company’s offices in Abu Dhabi, Mumbai and Toronto. An US' Co. has been awarded a deal to manage the development. Invitation to bid (ITB) for the EPC contract is expected to be issued in October 2014 .
