Mender Fields Development Project - Phase 2
This project is in Abu Dhabi. The project is involves Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to develop Mender field to expands onshore crude production by 143,000 barrels a day (b/d). The project known as Sahil Phase 2 development project, Asab units 6 and 7, Mender FFDP and Qusahwira Phase 2 development will increase the emirates onshore crude capacity by about 8 percent, from the 1.8 million b/d being commissioned in the current round of developments. The project scope of work is to build oil gathering stations, pipelines, power transmission lines and sewage systems at the Mender field site. The scheme will add 100,00 b/d of new crude capacity at the Sahil Field located 120 kilometres south of Abu Dhabi and 125km south of the Asab field close to the emirateÂ’s border with Saudi Arabia and Oman, in Addition, a second phase development of Qusahwira Field will add 25,000 barrels a day of new capacity. Crude will also be produced from Mender Field with a capacity of 20,000 b/d. The facilities will include new gas injection compressors, new main oil line booster pumps, water-disposal pumps, new water-alternating gas wells, flow lines, production separators and flow meters. The project completion is targeted in 2018 or 2019.
