Latifa Bint Hamdan Street Development Project - Contract 2 (R1029/2)

The project involves the development of Latifa Bint Hamdan Street Contract 2 (R1029/2) which is located at the eastern part of Dubai Urban Area. The road corridor is located between Shiekh Zayed Road to the west and Emirates Road to the east running east-west direction with an approximate length of 25 kilometres. The project has been divided into several contracts this is contract 1 of the project. Junction (1) : The existing signalized intersection between Latifa Bint Hamdan Street ( D67) and Al Asayel Street (D72) is proposed as a single point uban Interchange with At Grade Signal and providing first – level bridge along Latifa Bint Hamdan Street ( three lanes in each direction) and a second-level bridge along Al Asayel Street ( Two lanes in each directions). Junctions (2) : Maintain the existing cloverleaf interchange at Al Khail Road ( E44) intersection with Latifa Bint Hamdan Street while proposing a left turn ramp from the direction of Latifa Bint Hamdan Street to the CD Road of Al Khail Road in the northbound ( NB) direction. The work also includes the provision of street lighting services to the proposed roadway facilities, crossing ducts for different utilities and the relocation and/or protection of existing services affected by the proposed highway scheme based on coordination and approval of the respective utility authorities. It also includes the study, design and construction of three pedestrian bridges.
