This project involves construction of a 50-kilometer King Salman Causeway (King Salman bin Abdulaziz Bridge) connecting Saudi Arabia and Egypt. The entire project will be financed by Saudi Arabia. The causeway would link Tabuk to the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh on the Sinai Peninsula and would pass through Tiran Island at the entrance of the Gulf of Aqaba. Client is working in cooperation with Saudi Egyptian Business Association for this development. The proposed construction projects aim to create closer links between the two nations and have the potential to create plenty of jobs on both sides. It is understood that China Civil Engineering Construction Corp has been awarded the main contract on this development. The development is expected to be completed by early 2023.
