Project No. DS 150/2 This STP will be situated to the southeast of Jebel Ali - Lehbab road in Dubai. The project consists about Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract to build a sewage treatment plant in Jebel Ali with capacity of 375,000 cubic meters a day. The Jebel Ali Sewage Treatment Plant is the largest sewage treatment plant project. It will assure that all of DubaiÂ’s sewage is treated up to international standards and without environmental nuisance when millions of visitors are expected to touch down in Dubai The project involves construction of a sewage treatment plant to increase the capacity of the existing STP plant bringing by 375,000 cm/d, it to 675,000 cm/d. The project will use the existing facilities such as infrastructure, roads, mosque, administration building, labour accommodation and associated facilities. On completion, the plant is expected to gradually decrease the load on Al Aweer Plant. Currently, tankers carry about 40% to 50% of the sewage from Al Qusais labour accommodation, 30% from Al Quoz and 20% from Jebel Ali. USÂ’ has been awarded the contract to provide design consultancy services on this scheme.
