Haima West Combined Cycle Power Project
This project involves construction of Haima West combined-cycle power plant in Oman. Local Engineering Company has been awarded the EPC contract worth $46 million. The project is about Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract to build a combined-cycle power plant. The project involves the construction of a combined cycle power plant. It includes the construction of a powerhouse, a substation and related infrastructure, the installation of generators and transformers, and the laying of transmission The task incorporates development of an a consolidated cycle capacity to change over turbines from open cycle to joined cycle at Haima.. The execution period will be (36) months. The project covers the construction of a 20 MW combined cycle power plant with all its related facilities. The project incorporates with conversion of the open cycle to combined cycle gas turbines. It has won a key engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract from Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) for one of its projects in the sultanate. As per the contract, the Omani firm will provide EPC services for PDO's Haima west combined cycle power project for RO17.6 million ($45.6 million) excluding long lead items of RO13.8 million.
