Gas/Oil Separation Plant Project - Abu Ali Gas Plant & Khursaniyah Gas Plant
The project is about Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract to build a new gas/oil separation plant in Saudi Arabia. The new facilities will be developed at the existing Abu Ali and Khursaniyah plants to process the potential increased output of Arabian Light crude from the Berri Filed on the east coast of the kingdom. Client has awarded to Canadian Co. the contract to provide engineering and project management services for its Berri Increment Programme. The contractorÂ’s scope of work includes front-end engineering design (feed) for a new 250,000 barrels of oil a day gas oil separation plant at the Abu Ali Gas Plant, as well as additional facilities at the Khursaniyah Gas Plant that will process 40 million barrels a day of hydrocarbon condensate. Related pipelines, water injection facilities, onshore drilling sites, drilling islands and offshore facilities are also included. The feed project was due to begin by the end of April 2017 and the pre-construction services are expected to be completed by August 2018. Under the contract, two (2) drilling islands shall be constructed near shore at the north and south sides of the King Fahad Industrial Port (KFIP) causeway in Jubail, to support the Berri field production capacity islands. The scope of contract may also be widened to include providing technical support services for the construction phase.
