This project involves the redevelopment of City Center Doha in Qatar. Carrying out redevelopment of an existing shopping mall to add about 5,000 to 7,000 square meters of additional retail space. Scope of work includes renovation of the existing main mall and Squares, in addition to the creation of an entire New mall with a series of smaller piazzas catered for a more high-end segment, connected by skywalk to Qatar Convention Centre and adjoining the new 5-star hotels Marriott Courtyard and Renaissance, Shangri-La and Merweb Grand City Centre. The project will be carried out over three stages, to be fully completed by the end of 2018. Phase 1 and 2 dealt with the construction of the 50 storey, 258 room Renaissance Doha City Center Hotel and the 50 storey tower housing both the 204 room Courtyard by Marriott and the 124 room Marriott Executive Apartments. This was completed in May 2011. In August 2014 the Renaissance, Courtyard and Marriott Executive Apartments Doha were merged and rebranded as the Marriott Marquis City Center Doha Hotel. Phase 3 involves construction of 3 hotel towers: two 5-star hotel namely Rotana Hotel and Shangri – La Hotel and one 4 star Merweb Hotel. Both 5 star hotel towers will comprise of 3 basement levels, 7 podium levels, a ground floor and 50 additional floors and the 4 star hotel will comprise of 3 basement levels, 3 podium levels, a ground floor and 48 additional floors. The Shangri - La hotel consists of 272 guest rooms, the Rotana hotel consists of 287 luxurious rooms and suites as well as 94 serviced apartments and the Merweb Hotel consists of 256 guest rooms and 97 apartments. Amenities in the project include a swimming pool, a gymnasium, restaurants, a health club, a spa, a jacuzzi and 24-hours security.
