This project is a part of Phase 1 of Sino-Oman Industrial City located near the port of Duqm, Oman. The project comprises development of land, basic warehousing and retail space for third party building materials companies to showcase and store their products. This project will enable various companies around the world to come to Duqm and make Duqm a base for marketing and selling their products related to the construction industry. Total land area allocated to the building material market project, approximately 250,000sqm, will comprise retail/commercial space, warehousing/logistics space and land area for utilities and infrastructure. The phase entails oilfield designing administrations office, building materials promoting center, non-metal composite funnels plant, pipe producing bunch, oil rounded merchandise fabricating plant. The developer and operator of China-Oman (Duqm) Industrial Park, signed a shareholder agreement with a Holding LLC and Oman Company for Development of Special Economic Zone at Al Duqm SAOC (Tatweer) for this development. As per a report by the Oman Daily Observer, examiners foresee that the Sino-Oman Industrial City – the consequence of the Omani government's endeavors to include private organizations in real tasks, will help support development in the sultanate's development industry. The project will be developed under a joint venture company where Oman will invest 51 per cent while Al Thabat and Tatweer will hold 34 per cent and 15 per cent equity. The scheme is currently in planning stage and is expected to be completed by 2020-end.
