The projectÂ’s scope of work involves Construction, Completion and Maintenance of Linking Road of Phase 1 with the Current Road at Boubyan in Kuwait which is part of Mubarak Al Kabeer Mina - Phase 1 - Part 3B1. The project covers the construction of a 7 KM road network including other associated facilities. The project also includes an entails construction of 1,600 metres quay wall for 20 meters water depth, a full-service harbour including floating piers for tugboats with 8 meters water depth, reclamation of 170 hectares (1.7 kilometres), dredging of the service harbour and construction access, 5.5 million cubic metres, dredging of berth, link channel and 45 kilometres access channel, 75 million cubic metres to a depth of 14.5 meter, design vessels: container 400 m/157,000 DWT, cargo 225 m/75,000 DWT, supply vessel 80 m/6000 T, tugs 40 m/1000 T. Two earlier packages under the first phase of the project have already been completed. Package 1, which entails bridge soil treatment works and the construction of a road bridge, was completed last year.
