This project is being built around the famous canal near Maqta Bridge and Shaikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi and spread over 150,000 squar metres. The project consists of construction of a mixed-use leisure project which will provide recreation facilities, high-end shopping and fine dining. It is being implemented jointly. The project will have a 5,000 square meter aquarium (largest in UAE) and Abu DhabiÂ’s first standalone cinema. It also includes unique family entertainment centre, a marina with 90 berths, a huge dedicated area for indoor and outdoor sports, a large number of restaurants, picnic area and high end retail stores, a walk path connected by four bridges and running and cycling tracks. Al Qana Development in the Khor Al Maqta area in Abu Dhabi will be a new tourist and entertainment destination with residential, retail, entertainment center, a marina club, a sports center, Restaurant, and community shops components. Architect to provide waste engineering services for the full development. Local Contracting Company has been appointed as the main contractor for the scheme.
