Yibal Rejuvenation Project
Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) has invited companies to prequalify for the Yibal Rejuvenation off-plot project to build facilities at its onshore Yibal oil field in the centre of the sultanate. The projects scope of work includes revamping of existing facilities to implement an onshore gas recovery scheme located at Wilayat Haima in Ad Dhahirah governate of Oman. With many producing fields Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) is responsible for more than 70% of Omans crude oil production and nearly all of its natural gas production. The Company is owned by the Government of Oman (which has a 60% interest), the Shell Group (which has a 34% interest), Total (which has a 4% interest) and Partex (which has a 2% interest). Gas fields and processing plants are operated by PDO exclusively on behalf of the Government. Its concession area is about 100,000 m² or one third of Omans geographical area. Although Oman started its search for oil already in 1930, the first economic find was made in 1960. Yibal is one of the oldest fields and was one of the biggest producers in PDO. The field started producing oil in 1969. The award of the Control Valve bundle for this renowned undertaking by and by certifies VBG Intech's solid position in the market. A confirmation that giving the most abnormal amounts of client administration, with a very built item yields results. Leading Services LLC has been awarded the main contract on this development. Construction is in progress and is expected to be completed by mid-2021.
