The scope of work of this project involves construction of Transmission Pipelines for Mega Reservoirs in Doha. Tender for Material supply, construction, testing and commissioning of transmission mains around the City of Doha, which are required to facilitate the Mega Reservoir project, and fibre optic cable ducts . The project work includes: 10.8 kilometers of 900 millimeters diameter transmission line, 36.5 kilometers of 1200 millimeters diameter transmission line, 3.4 kilometers of 1400 millimeters diameter transmission line and 49.6 kilometers of 1600 millimeters diameter transmission line. The first phase of the project will provide the 7 days of storage for the expected water demand at horizon 2026, with 5 mega reservoir sites. will deliver storage capacity of about 2,300 million gallons of water in 24 huge concrete reservoirs and some 480 kilometers of buried ductile iron pipelines with diameter upto 1.6 meters. The project involves construction of 5 mega water stations in different locations with a total storage capacity of about 3,500 MIG and transmission pipelines with a total length of 200 kilometers ranging in size from 1200 millimeters to 2000 millimeters.
