Subsidiary Sewage Pumping Stations Upgrade Project - G1 to G7

This project is in Dubai. The project consists with the task of Construction of a Sewerage Pumping Station and a 1,200-millimeter-diameter Sewerage Rising Main. It involves upgrading the capacity of existing sewerage system within the main pumping station PS G catchments, consisting of subsidiary sewage pumping stations G1 to G7 serving Abu Hail, Hor Al Anz, Al Khabaisi, Al Wuheida and Hor Al Anz East encompassing community numbers 126, 127, 128, 132 and 133 to cater the current peak flow and anticipated ultimate peak flow from the catchments. The subsidiary sewage pumping stations G1 to G7 shall be decommissioned and connected to the proposed sewer network. The network shall be constructed under the project DS 198/1. It includes construction of overflow chamber at PS G22 and connection to the proposed sewer network. It also involves the upgrade of existing pumping station G (PS G), construction of the new sewage pumping station (PS G New) in the vicinity of existing PS G and construction of rising main and associated valve chambers in Al Twar third are alongside Al Nahda Road and Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road. Refurbishment and Upgrading Works for Four Sewage Pumping Stations” Project, as part of its efforts to provide sustainable solutions to improve the country’s sewage networks according to the best International standards. The pumping stations are located in vital areas within Dubai. Local Company has been appointed as the main contractor. Value of the contract is estimated at $42 million. Construction works are currently in progress and expected to be completed by end of 2017.
