Roads, Infrastructure & Buildings Construction Project - Duqm Port
This project involves construction of the fourth infrastructure package involving the setting up of a government berth in Duqm. It is the first integrated berth implemented in any of the ports in the Sultanate to serve government agencies. The berth has a total length of 980 meters allocated to a number of government entities as well as for fast ferries. It is one of the most important security facilities at the port and provides readiness to manage logistics operations for these entities and the security aspect of the port and the entire zone. Infrastructure works include execution of electrical, potable water, telecommunications and sewer networks, fire-fighting systems, construction of four pumps, drainage of surface water, water tanks, fencing government berth and construction of security gates. Length of the roads implemented at the government berth will be around 2 kilometers (dual and single) with minimum width of 7 meters. There will also be three helipads. The scheme also includes construction of buildings for a number of government agencies, housing for staff, administrative offices and logistics areas. It shall also include a building for fast ferry travelers along with related services and facilities, such as waiting halls, stores and public utilities. Tender Cost: 7692 USD.
