  • OnGoing Project
  • Oman
  • Gas Processing

The project's scope of work involves the construction of an NGL extraction unit located at Fahud, about 300 kilometres south of the Sohar Industrial Port Area, Sultanate of Oman. The project includes a production complex to extract NGL from natural gas and supply it to an ethylene production facility with a capacity of 670 mmscf/day. Products extracted by the plant will include ethane, liquid petroleum gas (LPG) and condensate. It will extract NGLs from pipeline gas to feed the client's proposed $3.6 billion Liwa Plastics petrochemicals complex in Sohar. UK-based Mott MacDonald has been awarded a contract to carry out the front-end engineering and design (FEED) for the plant and pipeline. The plant will be linked via a pipeline with the projectÂ’s main plants as part of an integrated complex. The project also includes Gas (cubic feet per day) with the quantity of 709731000.
