King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Airport Project
This airport will be located near Jizan Economic City in Saudi Arabia and have capacity to handle 2.4 million passengers a year. Construction of King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Airport comprising a three-storey passenger terminal, a control tower, air cargo zones and other facilities. Scope of work includes construction of: - An air traffic control tower - A hangar - Air cargo zones - Fire extinguising and rescue buildings - Maintenance buildings - Service facilities - 10 gates and a VIP lounge Design of the airport is currently underway. This is expected to be completed in the first half of 2011. Invitation to bid (ITB) for the main construction contract is expected to be issued in the second half of 2011.
