This project involves development of the Khulud tight gas field, located in the north Block 6 concession of central Oman. The field has some of the deepest tight gas reservoirs discovered in the world that will require unconventional and expensive techniques to access. Client is planning to tender two EPC packages in second quarter of 2015 for the respective off-plot and on-plot work with a total budget in excess Calling for $200 million capital expenditure, this Khulud pilot project should help PDO and Shell to measure the sustainability of the production rates with the selected technologies and to evaluate the commercial viability of a potential Khulud Tight Gas Full Field Development project in a second phase.. Awards are expected in the fourth quarter of 2015.
