This project involves construction of Dubai Arena within the Citywalk area in Dubai. The project is about Construction of a air-conditioned multipurpose arena comprising a basement plus five floors with capacity to host around 20,000 people. Construction of Dubai Arena is close to completion with the active-lit facade now fully installed. Work on external infrastructure and landscaping, including paving and parking spaces, is currently underway, while the finishing touches are being made to the first of 46 hospitality suites.Located in City Walk, the 17,000-seat year-round venue is designed to host major concerts, sporting events and more.Construction milestones completed so far include completion of the roof, facade steel structure and over 80% of the roof catwalks.All concrete, structural and block works have been finished and the installation of arena seating is currently underway, while the arenaÂ’s equipment, scoreboards, lighting and sound system will be fitted next month. Dubai Arena will host famous and world-renowned athletes, artists and performers and attract tourists to Dubai all year round. It will also host large global events and performances that have not visited the region as yet, due to the lack of a suitable platform for holding similar events. Local General Contracting has been appointed as the main contractor in joint venture with Kier Contracting. It is understood that work has already commenced on site. The scheme is expected to be completed by final quarter of 2018.
