Corniche Tram Project - Jeddah Public Transport Program
The Jeddah Corniche is a huge linear recreation park stretching in a north-south direction between the City and Red Sea. The project is about Construction of a tram network. The venture includes the development of a twofold track Tramway arrange in the Jeddah Northern Corniche. The cable car line would run 16 km along the coast from the Globe Roundabout in the north to an end close Tahlia Street, with stops and an armada of trams.The venture is wanted to be granted to the private segment and is a piece of The Jeddah Public Transport program. It houses an abundance of recreational and tourist facilities ranging from hotels, cafes, restaurants, amusement parks and an aquarium, to less formal areas for fishing, picnics, jogging or simply relaxing by the sea. It is currently undergoing a series of enhancement projects that will both upgrade the current facilitates and introduce dramatic new visitor attractions. The Corniche Tram System (CTS) stretches along Jeddah corniche, starting from the globe roundabout up to the intersection of Tahlia & king road and the Tram will be connected to all other public transportation mode and It consists of 11 (single car) train sets and 15 stations serving over 15.6Km. Client is expected to award the consultancy services contract for the public-private partnership (PPP) project soon. The contracts will be awarded before end of 2018. The Work includes providing the Services materials, Employees and all other requirements necessary for Work performance in accordance with documents of this Contract and any additional services and modifications that are required to do by the consultant.
