Located at Ras Tanura Refinery in Saudi Arabia, the project is about Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the expansion of asphalt production facilities by 22,000 barrels to 42,000 barrels per day at Ras Tanura Refinery in Saudi Arabia. Commenting on the EPC contract, the president of oil and gas at “SNC- Lavalin” , said: “We are delighted to build further on our recent experience of executing major EPC projects with Saudi Aramco.” The local Saudi Arabian has been awarded the EPC contract. It will provide comprehensive engineering and detailed design, procurement, installation, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning, necessary for the project completion and plant start-up. The project is expected to be completed in approximately 18 months, and builds on the company’s long-term working relationship with Saudi Aramco.
