  • Roads & Infra

This project involves construction of Wakrah bypass road in Qatar and forms Package 10 of the Doha Expressway. It is a major South to North freeway linking the existing Al Wakrah to Mesaieed Road, and acts as a continuation of an existing major urban North to South high-speed corridor of Doha Expressway. The project is about construction of a 11-kilometer-long bypass road comprising 10 lanes and four future lane sections with additional collectors/distributor roads, frontage roads and ramps. The freeway will provide access to the existing and planned developments via six grade-separated interchanges: 1) Al Wakrah Bypass/Al Mashaf Road: Two level modified cloverleaf interchange with Wakrah Bypass at grade and Al Mashaf Road as Flyover. 2) Al Wakrah Bypass/Al Wukrah Road: Two level modified cloverleaf interchange with Wakrah Bypass at grade and Al Wukair road as flyover. 3) Al Wakrah Bypass/Road: Two level single point urban interchange with Wakrah Bypass at grade and Road MAC-4 as flyover. 4) Al Wakrah Bypass/Al Wukair Area: Two level modified cloverleaf interchange with Wakrah Bypass at grade and Road Mac-3 as over-bridge. 5) Al Wakrah Bypass/Mesaieed Road: Two level modified cloverleaf interchange with Wakrah Bypass at grade and Al Mesaieed Road as flyover. 6) Road Tunnel under the Al Wakra bypass in the vicinity of Interchange 11A to allow for a proposed road corridor. The scheme is still in planning stage. Design will be executed in-house.
