This project involves construction of Al Jalila Foundation in Dubai. It will be co-located with a major new academic health science center within Dubai Healthcare City to become the first standalone medical research center in UAE. Al Jalila Foundation Research Centre is designed to be a world class biomedical research institute strategically located in the heart of Dubai Healthcare City next to the Mohammed Bin Rashid Academic Medical Center which houses the Mohammed Bin Rashid University for Medicine and Health Sciences, ensuring seamless collaboration in the academic, healthcare and scientific community. The building consists of three levels of basement, containing a car park and MEP services. The ground floor features retail space and a presentation space. The first floor shall comprise the headquarters, featuring office spaces and meeting facilities. Floors 2 to 6 will be shell and core offices. Al Jalila Foundation will further occupy floors 7 to 9, each floor will be fully functional bio-safety level 2 laboratories. The curved form and elegant external treatment of the new Medical Research Center is intended to give a focus to the heart of Dubai Healthcare City master plan and complement the massing that will complete the campus.
