This project involves the construction of a 115/13.8kV GIS substation in Uthmaniya, located in the eastern region of Saudi Arabia. The objective is to provide reliable and interrupted power supply to Saudi Aramco facilities operating in Uthmaniyah area. The substation includes 132kV Gas insulated switchgear (GIS), 13.8kV Switchgear, 115kV overhead transmission line, Protection and Control System, Substation Automation System (SAS), Telecommunication System and other auxiliary system. The contractor shall perform the work on lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, material, procurement, training, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning works. A total of fourteen bidders have submitted the proposal for the main contract. The project will help top provide power supplies in the local area as well as the other regions where the electrical power supply faced crisis. The project duration is 27 months with expected completion in April 2021.
