Strata 2.0 Aerospace Facility Project - Nibras Al Ain Aerospace Park

This project will be developed at Nibras Al Ain Aerospace Park in Al Ain. The new plant will manufacture two of the most complex work packages that include the horizontal tail plane, HTP, for the Airbus A320 and the vertical fin for Boeing's B787 airliners. Construction of an aerospace manufacturing facility with an approximate size of 60,000 square meters These work packages will be manufactured, fully equipped, tested and delivered directly to the final assembly lines of both Airbus and Boeing. This new factory will deliver innovative solutions that will seek to revolutionize traditional production methods in aerospace by introducing smart technologies and additive manufacturing to create a unique and seamless flow. It will combine real-time visibility on operations with cognitive decision-making to drive efficiencies, eliminate waste, elevate the quality and unlock greater value for shareholders, customers and employees. Advanced aircraft manufacturing is a key area of focus at the 2018 edition of the Global Aerospace Summit, where leading local and international experts are gathering to discuss the future of the industry. Based at Nibras Al Ain Aerospace Park and employing more than 700 people of 30 different nationalities – with 51 percent of its workforce being Emirati nationals and 41 percent of employees being female - Strata has partnerships with Airbus, Boeing, and Leonardo Aero-structures Division, and is a supplier to FACC AG, SAAB, and S.A.B.C.A. The company is part of Mubadala’s Aerospace, Renewables and ICT platform, which aims to advance the development of a leading aerospace hub in the emirate. Client has identified key guiding pillars for the new factory including, smart building, smart manufacturing and a smart workforce. Construction on the facility is expected to start in 2018 and set to be operational by 2020.
