Production Facilities Expansion Project - Safaniya Oil & Gas Field (Phase 4)
This project involves the fourth phase expansion of production facilities at Safaniya field, located about 200 kilometers north of Dhahran in Saudi Arabia is currently the largest offshore oil field in the world, with 37 billion barrels of oil reserves. Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the expansion of production facilities at an oil and gas field. The oil field is owned and operated by the state-owned oil company. It was discovered in 1951 and brought on stream in 1957. It is the world's largest offshore oil field in terms of production with an estimated capacity of 1.2 million barrels a day. Four companies have submitted bids for the EPC contract.
