Passenger Terminal Building Expansion Project - Al Maktoum International Airport
This project involves expansion of the existing passenger terminal building at Al-Maktoum International Airport in Jebel Ali area of Dubai. It will be designed to accommodate the requirements of low-cost carrier FlyDubai. Future expansion for which the latest package has been tendered will aim to increase the airport's capacity to 150 million passengers by 2030, with 260 million passengers considered the ultimate capacity. Client has prequalified at least four contractors to bid for the main contract, although there are many other contractors bidding for the scheme, the names of which have not been disclosed.
