This project is part of Phase 1 of the export refinery in Jizan Economic City, southwest of Saudi Arabia. The project is about Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract to build a marine terminal comprising two single-point mooring (SPM) berths, which will be located 7.5 kilometres offshore and used to discharge premium gasoline, diesel oil and DPK products for tankers up to 50,000 DWT. Refined items from the processing plant will be principally provided toward the south-western area of Saudi Arabia and the surplus volumes will be traded. The undertaking is being created as a noteworthy part of the Jazan Economic City Project. The treatment facility will cover a territory of 12km² and will process 400,000bpd of Arabian Heavy and Arabian Medium crudes to deliver 80 million barrels for each day of fuel, 250 million barrels for every day of diesel and more than one million tons for every annum of benzene and paraxylene petrochemical products. A various wharf marine terminal will bolster the supply of raw petroleum from the Saudi Arabian oil fields to the processing plant and furthermore empower the fare of surplus volumes from the treatment facility to worldwide markets. The terminal will be intended to oblige enormous unrefined carriers. The undertaking will further include the development and establishment of various utilities, including tempest water channels, sleek water channels, clean sewers, passing on frameworks for cooling water, fire water and drinking water, instrumentation and control gear, and interchanges hardware. Various structures will likewise be built, including the focal control building, process data transfer building and substation offices. The scheme aims at building a marine terminal instead of a pipeline to transfer the crude and refined products due to the distance between the oilfields and Jizan. The government has approved the release of Request for Proposals (RFP) for the EPC contract.
