This project will be located on Plot no. 392-198 at Dubai Marina. The scope of work of this project involves construction of a residential tower comprising 6 basement levels and 106 additional floors . In the same way as other the buildings in the Dubai Marina, Marina 106 can not only be considered supertall, but also superslim. Despite its height, the building is relatively simple in design, with a single rectangular tower rising from a four-story podium. The structure offers little external ornamentation along its podium and tower. Mullions along the building’s façade provide an accent for the lower half of the tower, downplaying the perceived height of the tower. A single, uninterrupted strip of LEDs travels up the center of the building on two sides before opening up into a circular aperture at the top of the building that serves as its crown structure. Below the void at the top of the building, the highest occupiable floors are devoted to two private swimming pools reserved for residents of the tower’s exclusive sky villas. Notably, these open air floors will include full-size palm trees. A Local Building Contracting Co. has been awarded the main construction contract, worth an estimated $190 million. Mobilization works have commenced. A Local Foundation is completing the shoring and piling works before work on the main construction contract can start.
