Gas Processing Plant Construction Project - Halfaya

  • Completed

  • Gas Processing

This project is in Iraq. Tenders are invited for Provision of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, Operation and Maintenance Service for Gas Processing Plant. Scope of Work The Gas Processing Plant (GPP) is required to treat all associated gas from Halfaya Oil Field CPFs into products including dry gas, LPG, C3/C4 and Sulphur. Products will be delivered to transfer points respectively. Basic design of GPP would be possible to integrate GPP in a MGPP Project (with possibility of raw gas from Missan, Noor and Amara Oil Fields). The basic design was initiated with 400MMSCFD Design Capacity (2X200MMSCFD) according to development plan, from 27 April 2014. The project of processing gas in Halfaya is of great importance for the development of Iraq's economy, and will contribute to providing sufficient dry gas for power stations. Associated gas quantities of Halfaya Oil Field CPFs was decreased to 300MMSCFD accordingly. Design capacity of GPP will be optimized to 300MMSCFD (2X150MMSCFD). Iraq continues to flare some of the gas extracted alongside crude oil at its fields because it lacks the facilities to process it into fuel for local consumption or exports. The Halfaya oilfield is operated by PetroChina. CPECC says its gas plant will be operational in 30 months. Representatives from CPECC, PetroChina, and the Ministry of Oil signed an agreement in Baghdad.
