This project will be located at the Free Zone of Fujairah. The project covers the construction of a refinery with a capacity of 1,000,000 t/y of bitumen with related facilities. The project involves construction of a bitumen refinery with a capacity of producing one million tonnes of bitumen per year. The bitumen refinery will be located in the Fujairah Free Zone. Feasibility study is underway and is expected to be completed soon. Tendering and bidding for the construction contract is expected to be launched by the end of second quarter of 2014. Companies are expected to be short-listed in the third quarter of 2014. An award is anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2014. Project completion is anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2016.
