Fadhili IPP
This project is at Fadhili in Saudi Arabia. The power plant will be located adjacent to the planned 1 billion cubic-feet-a-day gas plant at the Fadhili oil field in the Eastern Province. Engineering, EPC contract to build an Independent Power Project (IPP) with capacity of 1,504 MW. The scheme will provide power and heat to Fadhili Gas Complex, located 85 kilometers northwest of Jubail Port in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The co-generation scheme is scheduled to be developed on a 20-year power, water and steam purchase agreement (PWSPA) with Saudi Aramco, the off-taker for the steam and water components and the client, off-taker for the produced electricity. The proposed IPP will have steam capacity of 3,190,000 pounds an hour and water production capacity of 768.8 tons an hour. The project is still in early stages and client is currently soliciting interest from potential consortiums. The scheme is expected to be third-party build, own, operate, transfer (BOOT) and will utilize combined-cycle gas turbines (CCGT). The pre-qualification process is expected to commence in the second quarter of 2014.
