This project is in Bahrain and will cover a site area of 79,000 square meters. The development area shall cover 67,000 square meters. Execution of East Hidd Housing Project involving construction of 4,500-5,000 units, including vibrant social and leisure zones, retail, food and beverage units, mosques, schools and waterfronts connected by public parks and plazas. The project's scope of work consists of 4,548 housing units comprising 2,827 villas, 1,212 apartments and 500 plots spread across a 232-hectare site. The first phase of the project, featuring 487 housing units in two villages B2 and B3, have already been completed, while work is on to complete another 398 housing units in Village B1 and 740 housing units in Village C. The modern housing units incorporate four house and two apartment prototypes, with an emphasis on blending the traditional Bahraini heritage and architectural style. Qatar-base Company has completed reclamation of 618 acres of the Arabian Gulf on which this housing scheme will be developed. Local construction company Contracting has been awarded a contract to install slope protection around the reclaimed area.
