The project is about construction of an Independent Water Project (IWP) . The Oman Power and Water Procurement Co. (OPWP) plans to construct Duqm IWP in Al Wusta, Oman. The project aims at meeting the growing demand for water in different regions. The project includes the construction of a 60000 cu.m./d OPWP will sign a 20 years Water Purchase Agreement (WPA) with the developer selected for the project. The plant will utilize reverse osmosis (RO) technology. A partnership of Sembcorp of Singapore and Oman Oil Company in the development of power and water desalination capacity to serve the needs of this industrial city and maritime hub. Client is planning to issue a tender for the main contract in fourth quarter of 2014.
