The project is about development of a city comprising five districts, including residential, commercial, mixed-use, logistics and tourism . This project involves development of the first phase of Duqm City in Oman, spread over 150 square kilometers. Phase 1 is to be divided in four stages and spread over 30 weeks. The first phase would be divided further into four stages. The first phase will include 3 Hotels, Villas and apartment residential units and a retail shopping centre. An International Co. has been awarded a consultancy services contract to provide detailed master planning, market and feasibility study, design and preparation of tender documents. Client has already completed the initial concept master plan for the city in 2014. The company will be the lead consultant to work hand-in-hand with the urban planning and engineering department of the client, related departments and various stakeholders. Work will include: ? The detailed city master plan, ? A market and a technical feasibility study, ? A strategic environmental assessment, ? Sustainability assessment, ? Concept design with engineering fit, ? Tourism strategy, ? Transport master plan and drainage plan. The lead consultant will be joined by sub-consultants such as Deloitte, Five Oceans Environmental Services, Kamel Establishment, Driver Consult and Design Urban.
