Duba 1 Integrated Solar Combined-Cycle Plant Project

  • OnGoing Project
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Power and Energy

This project involves construction of Duba 1 integrated solar combined-cycle (ISCC) plant in the Tabuk region of Saudi Arabia. Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract to build an integrated solar combined-cycle power plant with capacity of 605MW, including a 43MW parabolic trough array. The plant will essentially consume flammable gas, yet will produce 50MW with the help of sun powered vitality to expand eco-friendliness. Pre-qualified organizations have been welcome to submit offers for the EPC contract. The venture is relied upon to be dispatched in 2017. Phase 1: This project involves a combined cycle configuration 2 + 2 + 1 (2 gas turbines, two steam recovery boilers, heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), Mark VIe distributed control system and a steam turbine) with an integration of a solar field and a total power of 565 MW. The project will mostly utilize F-class gas turbines for energy generation, with the concentrating solar parabolic trough. The parabolic trough installation will generate 50 MW of the plant's total 600 MW of capacity. The plant will be fuelled by Fuel-Gas and Fuel-Condensate as main fuel and Arabian Super Light (ASL) as a backup fuel. Phase 2: Construction of Duba Green Power Plant 380/132kV substation with all necessary protection, metering, control, communication, SCADA, SAS, civil works and associated equipment and construction of 380kV underground cables from 380kV GIS up to step up transformer at Duba Green Power Plant 380/132kV substation.
