Cairo Metro Project - Line 4 - Phase 1

The project involves construction of a Railway line with a length of 18.8 kilometers, of the Cairo Metro in Egypt. Line 4 will be divided into 2 phases. Phase 1 will have a total length of 18.8 kilometers and feature 17 stations. It will extend from the multi-modal station west of the Ring Road to the Grand Egyptian Museum and on to El-Remayah Square to link with the Giza station of Line 2, El-Malek el-Saleh station of Line 1, and to Al-Fustat station. An International Cooperation Agency has carried out the feasibility study and is also acting as the design consultant. ). The project also includes the plan to connect the end of Line 4 to the suburbs of 6 October mainly through executing The October 6th Tram system (The O6T) which will be by using a Tram-train system supplied with the Alstom Regio-Citadis trams.
