Batterjee Healthcare City Project - Makkah
This project involves construction of Batterjee Healthcare City in Makkah. Seeking quality and distinction, the city is planned on a 88,000 square meter site with a total built up area of 285,000 square meters. Planned in phases, the design aims to create an efficient and advanced medical city, providing carefully planned roadways and a pedestrian friendly urban development. Phase 1 will consist of a Medical College with capacity of 2,000 students, offering Bachelor Degree for boys and girls in Medicine and other disciplines of Clinical Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Health Management and Administration, and Nursing. There will also be staff accommodation to serve the needs of various facilities within the healthcare city. Batterjee Medical City will comprise a world-class hospital of 400 beds capacity. project will also include establishment of a non-profit hospital with capacity of 80 to 100 bed to support the medical college. Local International Hospital Company has been appointed as the main contractor. The development is expected to be completed by December 2018.
