Bahr Essalam Gas Field Expansion Project - Phase 2
This project is in Libya. The project is about Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the expansion of Bahr Essalam gas field. It includes the development of unexploited areas of Bahr Essalam Field, namely C East Structure and C Central Wells. Production will be gathered on the existing Sabratha gas platform where the gas is primarily dehydrated and delivered to Mellitah gas and processing plants for further treatment. The seaward Bahr Essalam field, which sits around 110 kilometers off the Libyan coast, the field was brought onstream in 2005 and produces 995 million cubic feet daily (cf/d) of gas, alongside 36,000 barrels per day (b/d) of condensates. These are halfway treated at five preparing trains with a limit of up to 695 million cf/d for gas and 31,000 b/d for fluids, before being siphoned back coastal for further treatment.Phase-2 improvement includes potential creation of 400 MMscfd of flammable gas, bringing the field aggregate to 1.1 bscfd. The project Scope of work includes: - Development of 15 wells form Sabratha platform - 6 wells in the Western Area - 5 Wells in the Western Area - Connections of the wells with the Platform Pre-qualification documents have been submitted on July 29, 2010 for the front-end engineering and design (FEED) contract.
