This project is about Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for upgrading the facilities at two onshore oil fields at Bab and Asab fields in Abu Dhabi, in order to improve reliability, integrity and performance. It includes modifications and improvements on non-associated gas facilities. ADNOCÂ’s plans to upgrade operations at its maturing Bab field will enable production levels to be sustained and production capacity to be increased from 420,000 barrels of oil per day to 450,000 barrels of oil per day by 2020. As part of the project scope, digital oil field technology will be introduced to remotely monitor and analyse well performance. The upgrade will also include the deployment of cluster drilling for the first time at Bab, where multiple oil wells will be co-located in one place. In addition to updating the Bab creation tasks, the venture will expand water and gas taking care of capacities and convey an extra degassing and handling train, to be worked nearby the current seven trains that condition raw petroleum for fare. Local Construction Company has been appointed as the EPC contractor.
