Automated People Mover (APM) System - Al Maktoum International Airport
This project is in Al Maktoum International Airport and involves implementation of a high capacity automated conveyance system to transport passengers between the landside terminal and the airside concourses, and connect passengers between and within concourses. The project is about Implementation of an automated conveyance system to transport and connect passengers between the terminal and concourses. When completed, the APM system will consist of two sets of counter rotating loops. The first will have a four-track loop set connecting the terminals with the concourses, while the second will be a twin two-track loop sets connecting the two sets of concourses. Engineering and Contracting to design and build an automated people mover (APM) system at Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).The new 1.5km Innovia APM 300 system will link Terminal 1 with Concourse 4, currently under construction at the airport. Under a two-year delivery programme, Bombardier will provide the design and supply all of the system-wide electrical and mechanical (E&M) elements of the elevated APM system, which will be capable of carrying around 200,000 passengers per day. Our new generation APM 300 transit technology will provide comfortable and convenient transportation for airport passengers travelling between Terminal 1 and the new Concourse 4. Client is preparing to release the tender for the APM system before the end of February 2017. It is understood that client has prequalified four firms for the tender.
