Aladdin City Project

This project involves the development of Aladdin City in Dubai. Aladdin City will feature three towers, designed to resemble Aladdin’s magic lamp, linked by bridges and walkways ,at Al Rigga in the middle of Dubai Creek, with a total built-up area of 110,000 square meters. It will be built in the ship dock using land reclaimed from the water. Tower 1 will be a ground plus 33-storey, 5-star hotel building with gross floor area (GFA) of 45,000 square meters; while Towers 2 and 3 will be commercial buildings comprising ground plus 24 floors with a GFA of 27,000 square meters and ground plus 25 floors with GFA of 29,000 square meters respectively. It will also include a 5-storey car park building to accommodate 900 cars. The three towers will be connected by a dragon and snake-shaped 1,200 square meter air-conditioned bridge.The Aladin city mega project was announced in April,2014. It is understood that three consultancy firms have emerged as front-runners for the design consultancy contract. Client is expected to award the contract by mid-December 2015. The main construction contract will be issued after completion of the design. A time-frame for the scheme has not been specified. Aladdin City will feature three towers, designed to resemble Aladdin’s magic lamp, linked by bridges and walkways. The three towers will reach the height of 33, 24 & 25 storeys, this will include offices & hotels.
