This project involves construction of Al Khor Expressway in Qatar. Construction of a 34-kilometer-long Expressway, including (12) bridges and crossings. Works include the construction of dual Five-lane carriageway in addition to 10 grade-separated interchanges, fast cycling lane and shared path for both pedestrian and cyclists. The highway will link Doha with Lusail, Al Khor and the new stadiums. The proposed upgrade generally follows the alignment of the existing Al Khor Coastal Road between Lusail and the proposed Al Khor Bypass. The tie in between the existing roads and the expressway shall be approximately 300m and should be as per ASHGHAL Highway Design and traffic manuals. The approximate southern extent for Phase 1 is the Doha Golf Club and the northern extent is up to the proposed Simaismah Junction. The approximate southern extent for Phase 2 is the Simaismah Junction and the northern extent is the proposed Al Khor Bypass up to and including the Al Khor Stadium signal. Work is expected to be completed in (30) months.
