This project involves refurbishment of Al-Faisaliah District in Riyadh. Redevelopment of a District involving refurbishment of a shopping mall.Italy's Salini Impregilo has been awarded the main contract worth $300 million. Work will commence with a $53 million refurbishment of Al-Faisaliah Mall, as well as demolishing the adjacent Seyahiah buildings to make way for a mall extension and also develop a new 25-storey five-star Al Khozama Hotel and parking systems. The Mall extension will have 16,000 square meters of additional space, creating the longest street retail façade in Riyadh. Together with the new Al Khozama Hotel, with 250 bedroom with 17 levels (around 29,000 sqm). It will have a prominent presence on Olaya Road in the city’s central business district. The hotel featuring a class-leading restaurant, gym and business center, the club-like atmosphere pervades through soothing colors and regional textures, offering tradition with contemporary flair.The mall will be upgraded one section at a time to ensure it remains open during the 16 months construction period. The entire scheme is to be completed in three years.
